Held in the Balance
This series moves through space, atmosphere, and layered emotion—much like the terrain of my own life. The palette is often soft, interrupted by jolts of intensity, like moments of clarity or disruption. My mark-making reflects that same duality: a push and pull between reflection and motion, vulnerability and strength.
Each piece is a kind of tightrope walk—teetering between collapse and control, uncertainty and trust. There are recurring characters, familiar tensions, and symbolic threads that resurface, almost like archetypes—reminders that while the path is rarely steady, it is still beautifully alive.
Held in the Balance is my way of capturing that suspended state: precarious, resilient, and quietly hopeful.
